WikiCon Brasil 2025 is a conference dedicated to strengthening the Wikimedia community in Brazil and fostering discussions on free knowledge and digital public goods. Taking place in Salvador after the success of its first edition in São Paulo in 2022, the event will bring together editors, activists, academics, and organizations to exchange knowledge through discussions, workshops, and collaborative learning. With the theme “Strengthening Digital Public Goods,” the conference aligns with global debates on internet governance and the regulation of digital platforms and AI. Inspired by the UN Global Digital Compact, WikiCon Brasil 2025 aims to build networks, promote open knowledge, and shape policies that support a more inclusive and sustainable digital future.
